<p><strong><span style="color: #003300;">Ingredients：<strong>(6-8 servings)<br />
</strong></span></strong></p>
<p><span style="color: #003300;">1/4 cup butter<br />
3/4- 1 Tbs. salt ( I use koser or sea salt)<br />
1/2 tsp black pepper<br />
1 ½ cup onions, chopped<br />
2 cups milk, warmed (low fat or heavy cream can be substituted)<br />
2-3 cloves garlic, minced<br />
Red pepper flakes, a good pinch<br />
4 cups trimmed and cut tomatoes (or 2 cans diced tomatoes- if you use cans with salt added your salt ingredient gradually)<br />
1 ½  Tbs. sugar<br />
3 Tbs. uncooked rice<br />
2 cups water (chicken broth adds more flavor)<br />
1/4- ½ cup fresh chopped basil (about 2-3 tablespoons dried, add dried seasoning last)<br />
6 sliced of French bread, cubed oiled and toasted </span><br />
<span style="color: #003300;">Parmesan cheese, shredded</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #008000;"><strong>【材料】</strong>（６～８人分）<br />

・塩　大さじ3/4～1 (私はコーシャーかシーソルトを使っているわ)<br />
・ブラック・ペパー　小さじ1/2<br />
・たまねぎのみじん切り　２４０cc分<br />
・牛乳　４８０ｃｃ　温めておく (低脂肪牛乳や生クリームで代用可)<br />
・にんにく　2～3 かけ　みじん切りにしておく<br />
・レッド・ペパー・フレーク　ひとつまみ<br />
・皮をむき、種を取り除きカットしたトマト　２００ｃｃカップで４カップと１６０ｃｃ分 若しくは缶詰のカットトマト・２缶（缶詰によってはすでに塩が入っているものがあるので、必ず塩を加えるときは気をつけて入れてください)<br />
・砂糖　大さじ１<br />
・米（未調理のもの）大さじ３<br />
・水　４８０ｃｃ(チキンブイヨンを入れるとフレーバーが増します)<br />
・新鮮なバジルをきざんだもの　カップで６０ｃｃライン分 (乾燥バジルを使う場合は大さじ２～３、この場合は最後に加える。)<br />
・バゲット　５切れ、角切りにして、軽くオイルをかけトーストしておく<br />
・パルメザンチーズ　適量　おろしておく</span></span></p>

<p><span style="color: #003300;">Large sauce pan melt butter over medium heat add onions, cook until soft and golden</span>.<br />

<p><span style="color: #008000;">I had the pleasure of visiting the newest Italian restaurant in Yanai. I thought the name was a little odd; &#8220;<strong>Kazu Hana</strong>&#8221; doesn&#8217;t sound like an Italian place to me, but don&#8217;t let that fool you &#8211; this little restaurant serves wonderful Italian dishes! </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #008000;">It&#8217;s a cozy, clean, warm and inviting place that is perfect for anyone who just wants to relax and eat plenty!  Informal and friendly, with a chef who is proud of his signature dishes!  The only drawback is they speak very little English and the menu is in Japanese only &#8211; but they do have some pictures on the menu and the staff is very helpful, so you shouldn&#8217;t have any problem ordering something delicious!.  We had several dishes to try and trust me, everthing tasted fantastic! The talented young chef is Gokan Tomoharu from Hyōgo (兵庫県, near Kobe) and he can really cook! </span></p>

<p>I visited a new cozy restaurant located in the Minami Iwakuni area, just behind NAFCO, across from Bulldog store.<br />
<span style="font-size: 80%;"><span style="color: #888888;">南岩国のナフコの近く、万惣の道を挟んだところにある、昨年できたばかりの新しいレストランに行ってみました。</span></span></p>
<p>As you enter, the friendly staff greets you with their warm smiles and hello&#8217;s.  The atmosphere is warm and elegantly simple, with earth tone colors and clean lines.   The layout is intimate with 8-9 tables; seating about 35 comfortably.<br />
<span style="font-size: 80%;"><span style="color: #888888;">店に入るとすぐにフレンドリーなスタッフが迎えてくれます。エレガントなシンプルさのある雰囲気のアーストーンのカラーで統一されたきれいなレストランです。８～９個のテーブルがあり約３５名分の席があります。</span></span></p>
<p>The menu is primarily Italian and French, with a good selection to choose from.  Their set menu prices vary from Y1,000 to Y2,300 for lunch and Y2,300 up towards Y8,000 for dinner &#8211; it just depends on your appetite. Also, there is an English menu for lunch, but not for the dinner menu.<br />
<span style="font-size: 80%;"><span style="color: #888888;">メニューはイタリアン・フレンチ。価格帯はランチで１０００円～２３００円、ディナーで２３００円～８０００円。　英語のメニューはランチのみ準備されています。</span></span></p>
<p>They are open every day from 11:30 to 2:00 pm for lunch and 6:00 to 9:30 pm for dinner; except on Monday&#8217;s they are closed for dinner.  They do however have a Trios Coffee &amp; Dessert special, Monday only, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. There is plenty of parking and reservations are recommended on Friday and Saturday nights. Phone: 0827-32-9500.<br />

<p>Fresh, lean chicken; lightly fried and served with homemade tomato basil marinara sauce &#8211; this dish is keeper!  This is one of those dishes I make for my family when everyone is HUNGRY for something rich, flavorful and totally satisfying!   We all love Italian food, how can you not?  This recipe serves about 4-5 people, but don&#8217;t get scared off by the amount of chicken you see in my skillet.  I made a double batch so I could &#8220;cook once and serve twice&#8221; &#8211; and take a break from cooking a meal the next day.  Enjoy!</p>
<p><span style="font-size: 80%;"><span style="color: #996600;">フレッシュで脂肪分の少ないチキン；さっと焼いて手作りのトマト＆バジルのマリナラ・ソースを添えてどうぞ。この料理は最高！　みーんなおなかをすかせていて、だけどちょっとリッチな気分でおいしく満足したいときに作るものの一つ。うちの家族はそろってイタリアン大好き。嫌いな人ってあんまりいないわよね？　このレシピは４～５人分。下の写真の撮影時に２倍の量で作っていただけだから、心配しないで大丈夫。</span></span></p>

</strong></span>4 to 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, trimmed and pounded flat<br />
1/2 cup all-purpose flour<br />
Salt &amp; Pepper to taste<br />
1/3 cup olive oil<br />
2 tablespoons butter<br />
1 medium onion, chopped<br />
4 cloves garlic, minced (1 teaspoon dried garlic)<br />
1/4 cup red wine or white wine (substitute chicken broth)<br />
2 cans tomatoes, crushed or diced<br />
Sugar, pinch<br />
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar<br />
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley or basil leaves (2 teaspoon dried leaves)<br />
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano<br />
1/2-1 teaspoon red pepper flakes<br />
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese or Mozarella cheese shredded<br />
1 package Angel hair pasta or spaghetti</p>
<p><span style="font-size: 80%;"><span style="color: #996600;"><strong>【材料】<br />
</strong>・とりむね肉（皮なし）４～６枚　脂肪の部分を取り除いておく。<br />
・中力粉　カップに入れて１２０ｃｃラインまで計る（約１１８ｇ）<br />
・しお・コショウ　適量<br />
・オリーブオイル　８０ｃｃ<br />
・バター　大さじ２<br />
・たまねぎ　中１個　切っておく<br />
・にんにく　４かけ　みじんぎり (乾燥のものは小さじ１)<br />
・赤ワイン　又は　白ワイン　６０ｃｃ(チキンブイヨンで代用可)<br />
・トマト缶　２缶　　潰すか角切りにしておく。<br />
・さとう　ひとつまみ<br />
・バルサミコ酢　大さじ１<br />
・パセリかバジルのあらみじんに切ったもの　カップで６０ｃｃラインまで計る（乾燥のものの場合は小さじ２）<br />
・オレガノ（乾燥）小さじ1/2<br />
・赤唐辛子フレーク　小さじ1/2～1<br />
・パルメザンチーズ　又は　モッツアレラチーズ　カップで１２０ｃｃ分<br />
・エンジェル・ヘア・パスタ　又はスパゲッティー　１パック</span></span></p>
<p><strong>Directions</strong><span style="color: #996600;"><strong>：【作り方】<br />
</strong></span>Mix flour, salt, and pepper together on a large shallow plate or bowl.<br />
Dredge flattened chicken breasts (or thighs) in flour mixture.   Set aside.<br />
<span style="font-size: 80%;"><span style="color: #996600;">小麦粉、しお、こしょうをバットのような浅い容器に入れ混ぜておく。軽くたたいて平たくした鳥むね肉（又はもも肉）に粉をまぶす。</span></span></p>
<p>Next heat olive oil and butter together in a large skillet over medium heat.<br />
Allow the butter to melt and the oil should get fairly hot, place your chicken pieces into the frying pan.   Cook until golden brown on each side, about 2 to 3 minutes per side, depending on the thickness.</p>
<p><span style="font-size: 80%;"><span style="color: #996600;">中火にかけたフライパンにオリーブオイルとバターを一緒に入れて熱する。<br />
バターを溶かし、油を熱くしたところに、１のとり肉を入れる。片面につき２～３分かけて両面をキツネ色になるまで焼く。（焼き時間は鶏肉の厚さによって変わるのでご注意下さい）</span></span></p>

<p>Remove chicken breasts from the skillet and keep warm on a plate.<br />

<p>Without cleaning skillet, add onions, garlic and a little pepper.  Gently stir for 2-3 minutes.<br />
<span style="font-size: 80%;"><span style="color: #996600;">とり肉を取り出したフライパンは洗わないで、そのままたまねぎ、にんにく、少量のコショウを加える。そっと混ぜながら２～３分炒める。</span></span></p>
<p>Pour in red wine/broth, let it simmer for about 2 minutes.  Stir lightly.<br />
<span style="font-size: 80%;"><span style="color: #996600;">赤ワイン若しくはブイヨンをそそぎ、大体２分くらい軽く混ぜながら煮つめる。</span></span></p>

Add crushed tomatoes and balsamic vinegar, stir.  Cook for 5 minutes.<br />

<p>Cover and allow to cook for another 5-8 minutes.<br />

<p><span style="color: #000080;">This charming little restaurant is located in an area you normally wouldn&#8217;t visit, tucked away from downtown Iwakuni&#8217;s busy streets.  It&#8217;s small and comfortable with a cafe/bar atmosphere and a super-friendly staff.  Their unique seasonal menu has a good selection with something for everyone to enjoy.  Their set menu is terrific and flexible with several choices.   We, Lisa and I, had a full set lunch &#8211; with all the works!  Why not &#8211; we were celebrating!  O susume &#8211; I recommend it this place!</span></p>

<p></strong>1 pound lean ground beef (optional, if you are making meat sauce style)</p>
<p>1 large onion, chopped</p>
<p>2-3 cloves of fresh garlic, minced</p>
<p>28 ounces of your favorite spaghetti sauce (I personally love making my own homemade sauce)</p>
<p>Vegtables of choice &#8211; mushrooms, eggplant, green peppers, olives&#8230;.</p>
<p>1 pint  ricotta cheese (or 1 lb drained, mashed soft tofu) or combine both!</p>
<p>1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese</p>
<p>10 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese</p>
<p>1 egg &#8211; optional</p>
<p></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #800000;">Dried seasonings- 1 teaspoon of  basil,  oregano, and Italian parsley.  <em>(again fresh is best, chopped</em>)</span></p>

<p>野菜のチョイス・・マッシュルーム、ナス、ピーマン、オリーブなど</p>
<p>リコッタ・チーズ・１パイント（約４７３ｇ）（若しくはよく水切りした豆腐をつぶしたもの　４５０ｇ）または両方を混ぜたものでも可！</p>
<p>パルメザン・チーズ（おろしたもの）・・・カップで６０ｃｃ分</p>
<p>モッツアレラ・チーズ（細くしたもの）・・・約２８０ｇ程度</p>
<p>たまご　　　・・・１個</p>

<p><span style="color: #800000;">If you are preparing a meat sauce recipe, use a large skillet. Cook and stir ground beef until brown. Drain and set aside.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 80%;"><span style="color: #888888;">ミートソースを準備する場合は、大きめのフライパンで牛ひき肉を色がかわるまで炒めて、余分な水気はきっておきます。</span></span></p>
<div><span style="color: #800000;">In large sauce pan add your favorite spaghetti sauce,  add your vegtables; mushrooms and onions; saute until onions are transparent.  Stir in pasta sauce and allow to simmer for 10 minutes.  Add cooked meat, stir gently then set aside to cool.</span></div>

<p><span style="color: #800000;">Sprinkle dried seasoning on top.  Cover pan with aluminum foil, tightly.  Bake in a preheated 350 degree F (175 degree C) oven for 45 minutes.</span></p>
