Lodging
Upon arrival while waiting for housing, or when outbound from MCAS Iwakuni, you may find yourself living in one of the base’s temporary lodging facilities (TLF). There are two different lodges available for PCS purposes (if you are coming to Iwakuni as part of the Unit Deployment Program (UDP) squadron or temporary additional duty (TAD), refer to the base Transient Lodging page).
Monzen Lodge – $60 per night – bed/kitchen are separated by a pull-out room divider screen; kitchenette, queen size bed, small pull out sofa bed, dresser, night stands, mirror, private bath with shower ead, desk, armoire, DVD player, 22 inch color TV, and Data port for Internet access (bring your own computer/laptop and Ethernet cable). Often reserved for couples with no children, or only one child.
Nishiki Lodge - $90 per night – bedroom is completely separated from the rest of the room for more privacy; kitchen, queen size bed, twin size bed, pull out sofa bed, dresser, night stands, mirror, private bath only (no shower), desk, armoire, DVD player, 27 inch color TV located in the Living Room, 22 inch color TV located in the Bed Room, and Data port for Internet access (bring your own computer/laptop and Ethernet cord). Better suited for larger families with several children since the rooms are separated and larger.
