Taking Care of Business:
At some point in your moving process, you will need to take care of some business items such as acquiring a Post Office Box, making reservations for Temporary Lodging, obtaining a position on the Housing List, and possibly making reservations for your pet(s). These things are sometimes done by your sponsor, but remember it is your responsibility so don’t expect someone else to do them for you unless they want to be extra-helpful.
Post Office:
Visit the Postal Information section of the base website for instructions on obtaining your PO Box prior to arriving at MCAS Iwakuni. This will allow you to forward your mail before you leave your current residence, to avoid delays in receiving important mail. You can also mail things ahead to yourself before you get here.
