「国際女性の日」という日を聞いたことがありますか？

On March 8th, it is a global day of celebrating the economic, political, and social achievements of women past, present, and future.  In some countries around the world it’s an official national holiday – countries such as China, Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Moldova, Mongolia, Ukraine, and Vietnam just to name of few. 
３月８日は世界規模で過去現在未来にわたって、経済、政界を含む女性の社会的成果を祝う日です。世界の国の中には、この日を祝日としている所もあります。　中国、アメリカ、ロシア、ベラルーシ、ブルガリア、モルドバ、モンゴル、ウクライナ、そしてベトナムなどが一部としてあげられます。

Every year hundreds of International Women’s Day events occur all around the world to inspire women and celebrate wonderful achievements. The events range from small  informal gatherings such as craft markets, networking, theatric performances, and fashion parades, to large-scale highly organized events like business conferences, government activities, or rallies.

Here in Japan I wish to host a dinner event with several proactive women and talk about ways of contributing to the community.  Reach out and make a difference in any way you can.  

私もいつか積極的に活動している女性を集めたディナー・イベントを開き、コミュニティーが必要とする貢献などについて話し合いができればと思っています。こういった場を持つことで今までとは違った成果を挙げることができるはずです。

Share your stories, host a dinner party, or plan an event to make your voice heard.   The  idea is to reach out, inspire and support one another. I have met the most amazing mulitcultural women by doing so.  Let me know if you are planning to do something special in honor of International Women’s Day!
