There are so many creative ways to show your love and appreciation on Valentine’s Day.  I wanted share a few fun ideas that can catch on here in Japan.  Hopefully there will be a “perfect” idea that will spark a little more magic into your relationship.  Here are my favorite ideas!  (If you’re a man reading this, surprise your honey, but don’t tell her where you got the idea – It’s our secret!!)

A jewelry gift is wonderful as long it is within a budget.   Maybe buy a watch, so she can think of you all the “time.”

Buy matching red sweaters

Dim the lights in your living room and dance to slow romantic songs, don’t forget the wine!

Create a love song CD full of Valentine’s Day songs.
バレンタイン・デーの歌をいっぱい集めたCDを作る

Send “happy” flowers to his or hers workplace.

Bake yummy colorful cupcakes or cookies, surprise him or her at work or home

There are plenty of Valentine ideas and tips, but remember to keep in mind that you are trying to create a special moment of love and ambience for your beloved partner.  Your Valentine’s Day gift to your love one does not need not be expensive, but it should come “from the heart.”  Amore! (love in Italian)
